For children playing is, or should be, their profession. A Western child, if they were lucky enough to have contact with nature on a daily basis, playing football with friends, at sunset by the sea or in the mud on a rainy day would be almost the same as winning the lottery. But this is just one side of reality. In countries with less financial, organizational and management capabilities, these conditions persist and even competitive athletes can be seen training without adequate conditions. In common, we find genuine joy and the feeling of sharing moments.

The three photos presented here were taken in 2015 and 2016, in Timor-Leste.
